We are pleased to welcome Scott Lloyd to the club. Scott a centre, joins us from Welsh Premiership team Carmarthen Quins where he has played for the last 2 seasons. Scott has also represented Wales at Under 18 and U20 level, and played for the Scarlets, his home region.
DoR Richie Williams commented; ‘It is always nice to welcome another Welshman to the club. The Carmarthen Quins head coach made contact with me last month and mentioned that Scott was relocating to the area. He spoke very highly of Scott and his playing abilities and it seemed a good fit for us. We are excited about integrating him into the group and he will no doubt add extra quality in midfield. He can also play in the back 3 and is a confident goal kicker. It gives our backline another dimension as we look to add more experience to an already talented group.’
Scott Lloyd- I am excited by the new challenge of playing in England and have heard positive things about Cambridge and their ambitions as a club. The players and staff have been very welcoming and I am looking forward to getting started.
