Welcome to the home page of the U7’s, our youngest age group we offer mini tag rugby to boys and girls who are in school Years 1 and 2.
Introduction
Rugby is a fun game and our principal aim is to encourage children to embrace that fun and help them the ethos of the game - fair play and respect for team mates, opponents and everyone involved in the game.
In line with the RFU development guidelines an important feature of training at this age is to develop passing, catching and spatial awareness. Our player led ethos ensures all players enjoy the game and develop in line with their ability and as part of a team.
Training
The rugby season starts on the first Sunday in September and finishes in April. Training takes place at Volac Park, Grantchester Rd, Cambridge, CB3 9ED on Sunday mornings between 0930 - 1030. Free parking is available at the ground and please arrive approximately 15mins beforehand to ensure a prompt start.
