Cambridge Sports Development Foundation (CSDF) was established in 2019 and we work as the Charity arm alongside and part of Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club.

CSDF was created with the aim of delivering accessible opportunities for everyone, inspiring personal and social development through sport (not just rugby).

In March 2020, just like everyone else, we were hit with the COVID 19 pandemic, which meant we could not move forward with our plans.

Now we are back stronger than ever, assisting young and old, and offering new ideas and opportunities in the local Community.

But what do we do? What do we offer?

  • Using Sport we look at how we can change young people’s pathways, through engagement, education, mentorship and health & fitness - working with local schools & colleges, and emphasising the Core Values of Rugby (TREDS).
  • We offer rugby coaching in Special Needs schools and other educational establishments in the Cambridge area.
  • We work with Youth Clubs and Organisations to offer more diversity with their programmes in assisting young people with sport (main focus being rugby).
  • We identify new opportunities, and work with other Charities and Associations to bring fun rugby and other sports to their doorstep – for people of all ages. Walking Rugby, Touch Rugby and much more
  • Raise funds through donations and by other means, to offer Rugby and Sports provision in Schools and other Organisations, that do not have suitable funding available.

Our list continues to grow, and we are keen to work with any stakeholders that would be interested in what we offer.

Additionally, we are always seeking funds to aid us in bringing sport to the diverse community we live in, and releasing the opportunities we offer.

We would love to hear from potential sponsors, or volunteers that will continue to help us grow our offering at CSDF, so if you are interested in learning more and seeing how you can help, then please get in touch with us.
