Welcome to the home page of the U13’s, we offer youth rugby to players who are in School Year 8.
Introduction
At CRUFC we believe rugby is a fantastic sport! Built around the RFU’s Core Values of; teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship and our goal is to teach players the core techniques and skills of rugby in a fun and inclusive environment. We aim to play fast free-flowing rugby which keeps the ball in play and as such training primarily revolves around running, passing and support play.
Training
The rugby season starts on the first Sunday in September and finishes in April. U13 training takes place at Volac Park, Grantchester Rd, Cambridge, CB3 9ED on Sunday mornings from 11:00 to 12:30, and Thursday evenings between 17:45 and 18:45. However, please get in touch before coming down, in case times have changed or we're away playing a match. All game details are published in an App called Spond, not on this website.
Free parking is available at the ground and please arrive approximately 15mins beforehand to ensure a prompt start.
Joining
We are always looking to expand our playing squad and welcome all new players from complete beginners upwards. If you are in School Year 8 and would like to try rugby for the first time or build on previous experience please read our joining information page here and complete the trial form.
