The Cambridge RUFC Youth Charitable Trust (the Trust) was formed to provide financial assistance to ensure that every child playing, or wishing to play, at Cambridge Rugby Club has the same opportunities to participate in the game of rugby and associated club activities
The Trust was formed in 2008 with the generous support of SG Hambros.
Thank you to SG Hambros for the seed funding and also to Charles Staveley of Mills & Reeve who has kindly prepared all the legal documentation.
Charles, William Quanthill, John Creighton and Andrew McGahey (former Mini & Youth Chairman) are Trustees.

Application of income
The organisation and provision or assistance in the organisation and provision of facilities which will encourage and enable any persons of either sex up to the age of twenty years receiving full time education(or otherwise receiving education or vocational training in connection with their employment or a government sponsored scheme in the United Kingdom) to play the game of rugby union at Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club (“CRUFC”) and thereby to assist in ensuring that due attention is given to the physical education and development of such persons as well as the development and occupation of their minds
The relief of financial hardship among people under 20 years of age living in East Anglia and the surrounding area wishing to play or already playing rugby union for CRUFC, by making grants of money for providing or paying for items services or facilities and thereby:
(A) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capabilities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;
(B) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.
The general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Trustees may from time to time decide.
