Yesterday we conducted our first ever virtual AGM. Maybe the best attended AGM we've had in recent years, so I wonder if virtual is the blueprint for the future? Shame not be drinking beer next to friends though...
Part of the meeting's purpose is to elect the committee and club officers for the following year. The meeting agreed to elect as officers:
- JJ Jeffrey - President
- John Hopkins - Treasurer
- Sabine Edwards - Honorary Secretary
And the committee continues as before:
- Rob Dean - Chair
- Nick Dance - M&Y Chair
- Adrian Fraser - Communications
- Colin Brown - Special Projects
- Ross Jenyon - Facilities
- Richie Williams - DoR
Sabine may be a new name to some of you, but not if you have enjoyed one of our fabulous pre-match lunches which Sabine has managed for the last few seasons. She is also a "rugby mum" with a son in the Mini & Youth section. We welcome Sabine to her new role.
This means we also offer thanks to Gary Barr (departing Hon Sec) and Deborah Barr (departing membership sec), for many seasons of hard work. Between them they have been responsible for many Club improvements; too many to list here. Tracy Alexander, another M&Y parent, will take over as membership secretary.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Gordon Newbound for all his efforts looking after our facilities.
