From Richie Williams:

This season's exciting squad have been working together for a number of months and have already started to build a special bond together. In what has been an unprecedented period, I have been impressed by their togetherness and willingness to challenge one another. As a group, we have set ourselves some clear objectives for the season as we look to surpass last seasons attainments.

There is a blend of experience and youth with a number of players coming through the club's blossoming pathway. We have also strengthened our squad significantly with the recruitment of a number of Championship players.

Over the next few weeks we will be introducing our playing squad by position.

Today we start with our scrum halves

Kieran Duffin- Kieran enters his third season at the club. He continues to be one of our most consistent players and trains and plays with real purpose. Over the last 18 months, he has developed certain aspects of his game which he has been able to transfer into pre-season. His leadership skills continue to impress and I am excited about watching him develop further this season.

Fin Creighton- Fin returns to the club after a brief hiatus at Loughborough University. He is one of a handful of players that have progressed through our mini and junior ranks at the club. Fin is a livewire scrum half who has been working on his consistency. We saw a number of his qualities during the 2019/20 season and we look forward to seeing him an action again this season.

Darryl Veenendaal- Darryl brings with him a wealth of experience after playing over 200 championship games for Bedford, Nottingham and Ampthill. He has an excellent skill set and has integrated into the club extremely well. Darryl has been heavily involved in the coaching as we look to utilise his expertise and current knowledge.

We are extremely fortunate to have 3 high quality 9’s at the club, all possessing subtle differences. Along with our fly halves, we are really confident that our half backs will be able to execute our game plan and drive the rest of the squad.
