Anthony Allen & Neil Harris join senior coaching team
Cambridge Rugby is delighted to announce the additions of Anthony Allen and Neil Harris to the senior coaching team for the coming season.
Former England centre Anthony Allen, joins the club as Defence Coach, with experiences including coaching England U20s, Leicester Tigers, Coventry Rugby and Loughborough University since retiring as a player in 2015.
Director of Rugby Richie Williams is excited about the addition of Anthony Allen,
“We believe that this appointment highlights our intent as a club to continue our progress towards the top of National 1. To bring a coach in of Ant’s profile will benefit the team significantly. He will lead our defence whilst also supporting other aspects of our game. I am excited about welcoming him to the club and learning from his experiences, both as a professional player and coach.”
Set piece specialist Neil Harris can boast coaching experience with USA Eagles, Saracen’s Women, and Bedford Blues Academy, as well as his current role as Director of Rugby at St George’s School in Harpenden.
Richie is delighted to welcome Neil to the club,
“Neil’s philosophy aligns itself to the teams and he will add significant technical knowledge to both our scrum and set-piece. He has a clear passion for coaching and in particular developing the scrum. He has a proven track record at the highest level of the game and I look forward to working with him this season.”
