We are pleased to announce that second row George Bretag Norris will once again captain the 1st XV for the 2021-22 season.

Since joining the club from Bury St Edmunds in 2016, George has made 119 1st XV appearances and will go into his 3rd season leading the team.

‘George took over the captaincy towards the end of the 2018-19 season and has grown into the role. His people first leadership style has helped us develop a really strong environment and his consistent level of performance has been evident.

He has become part of the fabric at the club and embodies the values that we are trying to promote. With there being no competitive rugby for 12 months, George, along with the other senior players, will be challenged to help develop the cohesion amongst a talented group of players. I am excited about supporting him and working alongside him for another season.’

“Its a great honour to be able to captain Cambridge for another year. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to lead such a talented group of players, and contribute to Cambridges ongoing success both on and off the field”.
