It is with great sadness that Cambridge Rugby were informed over the weekend that former player, and Club captain, Gareth McComb has passed away.

Gareth played 130 games for Cambridge after joining from Nottingham Rugby in 2009, going on to score 17 tries, alongside providing calming leadership as Captain for many years before retiring in 2015.One of the most genuine and humble players to wear the Cambridge shirt, Gareth went on to be a successful part of the coaching team that steered Cambridge to promotion to National One in 2016. Gareth will be remembered with great love and affection by all involved at Cambridge Rugby. The club will inform everyone of further arrangements when known - the thoughts of everyone at Cambridge Rugby are with Gareth’s family at this time.
